FedEx (NYSE: FDX) has resumed shipping services to and from Israel as of June 27, following a temporary suspension due to heightened security concerns in the Middle East.
The company had paused pickups in the region after missile exchanges between Israel and Iran raised flight safety risks.
As part of the service resumption, FedEx announced the introduction of a demand surcharge on all FedEx and TNT shipments involving Israel for customers based in India, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa.
The surcharge is attributed to elevated operational costs stemming from the regional disruption, the company said.
